Fresh Cuts: Sept. 1-8

Buongiorno!  Good morning!
As I write the sun is a giant fuchsia ball above the foothills...and this time it is not from the fires in Sun Valley but from some much more near.  We are all safe but the red sun and smoke-hazed skies are a constant reminder of the tinder box conditions right now.
The flowers continue to bloom but our list is growing shorter and shorter.  Now is the time for all our talented designers to revel in TEXTURE.  We have an excellent variety of texture--silky plumes, bead-like flowers, berries, seed heads in various shapes and configurations.
Here we go:

Asclepias--gorgeous orange and deep orange pearls that pop into star-shaped citrus flowers

Atriplex--sequin shaped seeds on long spires in lime and (to the left) ruby.

Bells of Ireland--lime coronets on lightly scented wands.

Celosia:
Giant lime plumes
