I am a bit behind posting this week because we are hosting our two little granddaughters. We ditched work in favor of the park and have been digging in the sand box instead of weeding.
Anchusa, tons of tiny forget-me-not flowers on long stems
Brodia, slender bell-like blooms clustered on long slender stems.
Bellflower, bell like flowers on elegant thin stems, in lavender and white.
Bells Of Ireland, beautiful jade green foliage with long stalks of bell shaped flowers.
Canterbury bells, stalks filled with large bell-shaped flowers, in white, lavender and deep violet.
Chocolate eupatorium, deep chocolate foliage, larger and more bronze than "firecracker".
We say farewell to peonies for this year, but not the delicate clematis on the right and left of this bouquet. This variety "Paul Farges" is a heavy bloomer and does well in the vase.
A close-up of the star-like bloom with white pearl buds.
Cut in strands 18" - 24", I try to include vine, unopened blossoms and newly bloomed flowers. If you want it longer, just call me. I can cut it up to 4+ feet.
The delphinium is just gorgeous! I can't decide which is my favorite color. White, lavender, light blue, cobalt blue or deep violet--they are all sumptuous.
Eremerus, aka foxtail lilies, in assorted colors.
Filipendula, aka "meadow sweet", this delicate bloom has a delicate fragrance too.
Knautia, like large ripe raspberries. Very similar to scabiosa, but not related.
Lady's Mantle, yellow green clusters atop soft green foliage.
Lamb's Ear, soft velvet leaves, long velvetly stems.
Matricaria, clusters of tiny camomile like blooms.
Tiny pink garden roses, roughly cut with foliage and multiple blooms. A sweet spray rose with a faint fragrance.
Scabiosa in white and blue. RT says it is the best crop he has grown, must be pretty good.
Sage, round leaves, very fragrant, about 6"-8" tall.
Silver King, tall slender leaves on 14"-20" stems.
Sweet peas, on the vine and the stem. Lavender and white and the pink is just starting.
